Ways to Raise Funds for the Korral

on January 15, 2018

The OK Kids Korral has been helping families for many years through the work of the Toby Keith Foundation. If you are interested in contributing to the Korral and want to help make a difference in the life of a child suffering from cancer, there are many ways you can do so. Read more to find out how you can help raise funds for the Korral!

General Donations
The Korral is always grateful for any gifts or donations made to the program. One way in which individuals can help is through the donation of cash, stocks, bonds, or general bequests. A general bequest is an easy way to donate, as you donate the amount of your choosing through and easy to use online donation form. You can also sign up for a recurring donation of your choosing as well. The Korral has a list on their website of what your donation can do for families. For example, just $25 can help provide breakfast for all of the families at the Korral for one day. Checks are also accepted through the mail and should be made out to The Toby Keith Foundation.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts
A great way to honor a loved one’s passing is to make a donation in their memory to the Korral. These donations can also be made online or sent to the address on the website.

Item Donations
The Korral is always in need of particular items at the Korral as well, in order to provide the families staying on site with the comfort of their own homes. Some examples of helpful donations might include video games, board games, movies and toys. We always like to keep extra socks and gloves on hand as well.

Help for the Holidays
The holidays are always a busy time at the Korral, as we strive to make the holidays happy and cheerful for our families. We are always in need of donations during this extra special time of the year. The Korral keeps a holiday wish list of the most needed needs during this time, which include gas cards, gifts for infants through teens, and gifts cards to the following places: Starbucks, Target, Walmart, ToysRUs, iTunes, Subway, Braums, McDonalds, Taco Bell and Amazon.

Fundraisers
Have fun and raise money for the Korral by holding a fundraiser. You can contact our development associate at 405-271-6552 ext. 30802 or visit the website to fill out the Special Event Authorization Form for more information, but there are many fundraisers that are both fun and helpful in raising money. Host a 5K with the proceeds going to the Korral, or work with a local restaurant for a fundraiser night in which a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Korral.

However you decide to raise money for the Korral, it will be much appreciated and put to good use!!
